President Bola Tinubu will leave Lagos today for Plateau to attend the burial of Lydia Yilwatda, mother of Nantewe Yilwatda, chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Tinubu will later address church leaders across the north at the headquarters of the COCIN Church in Jos, the state’s capital, according to a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the president on information and strategy.

Onanuga said Tinubu will return to Lagos later today after the event.

The president had condoled with the APC chairman, whose mother died in August at the age of 83.

Tinubu described her as a woman of virtue who lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and the uplifting of her community.

The president asked the APC chairman to accept her death “as the will of Almighty God and be consoled by the life of purpose his mother lived”.
