Odunayo Adekuoroye, Nigerian wrestler, lost in the women’s freestyle to Anastasia Nichita of Moldova at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.

The three-time world championship medalist lost via fall in the 57kg category to the Moldovan on Wednesday morning.

Adekuoroye was leading 8-0 before Nichita dramatically won the tie through pinfall in the round of 16.

The Nigerian still have a chance to contest for a bronze medal through the repechage as long as Nichita makes it to the final.
