Nigeria’s Folashade Oluwafemiayo has won gold in the women’s powerlifting at the ongoing Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Oluwafemiayo claimed Nigeria’s third gold medal in the 86kg category.

The 36-year-old became the third Nigerian to win a gold medal for the nation after Tijani Latifat and Bose Omolayo.

The feat also brings Nigeria’s total number of medals at the ongoing event to five with three gold and two bronze medals — all coming from powerlifting.
