Award-winning music star and CEO of DB Records, D’banj, has finally confirmed signing on star actress and singer, Tonto Dikeh.

There had been unconfirmed reports that Tonto, whose songs has only fetched her criticisms, may have been signed onto D’banj’s record label, DB Records.

Tonto posted some pictures on her Instagram page, where she posed with most of the DB Records‘ signed artistes, including Kayswitch (D’banj’s brother), which gave birth to the reports that she is now a signed artiste of the label.

D’banj, who is known with pseudonyms like The Kokomaster, Eja Nla and Banga Lee, posted a pic of himself and Poko, stating his excitement by the prospect of working with the actress/singer.

Tonto and D’banj, who are also birthday mates, marked their birthdays on Monday.

D’banj posted the picture on Tuesday and wrote “To my birthday mate and the duchess of DB Records. Welcome to the LEE TEMPLE . Can’t wait for the world to see what we’ve been up to. I’m proud of u my daughter. #Pokolee #Tontolee #DBrecords @tontolet”

This may be welcome news to those who believe that Tonto’s music is mediocre, as perhaps the Midas touch of D’banj may just change her standing in the music world.

We wait in anticipation for Tonto’s first effort as ‘the Duchess of DB Records‘.
