Barcelona FC is to face fellow Spanish rival Athletico Madrid in the quarter final round of the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Vfl Wolfsburg will be going against Zinedine Zidane’s side, while Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munich will be taking on Benfica for a slot for the semi final of the UCL.

Manchester City FC, the only English club remaining in the championship, is paired with Paris Saint Germain.

The first legs of the quarter-finals will be played on April 5 and 6, with the return legs on April 12 and 13.

The draw means Barca, Madrid and Bayern, the teams most favoured to win the league, have all ended up avoiding one another.
