The Osun state government has declared Monday a public holiday to mark the annual Isese Day (traditional worshipers’ day).
Semiu Okanlawon, director, bureau of communication and strategy, governor’s office, disclosed this in a statement issued in Osogbo on Friday.
The ‘Isese Day’ is the celebration of the peak of festivities among adherents of traditional religion, which is also known as, `Odun Nla’.
“The Osun government wishes to announce that Monday, August 22 is hereby declared a public holiday,” the statement read.

“The holiday is in recognition of the annual Isese Day, which allows the adherents of traditional religion to come together for the annual celebration.”
