The division 1 of the Nigerian Army says its troops have recovered weapons and motorcycles from bandits in Kaduna.

In a statement on Tuesday, Musa Yahaya, acting deputy director, army public relations of the division, confirmed the development.

Yahaya said the recoveries were part of attempts to clear bandits from the Kaduna forests.

He said the troops acted based on credible intelligence and in collaboration with Kaduna vigilance service; and laid an ambush on the bandits around the general area of Dogon Dawa-Damari in Igabi LGA.
