The troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have reportedly rescued 50 kidnap victims after foiling a bandit attack on Raudama village in Faskari LGA.

According to Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency publication focused on the Lake-chad region, the incident occurred on April 27 when suspected bandits invaded Raudama village.

The publication said troops also “recovered 32 rustled cows” during the operation.

Makama said the troops consisting of army and police “swiftly mobilised joint patrol teams who engaged the bandits in a gun duel, overpowering them and forcing them to flee”.
