US President Donald Trump is the worst polled President in the US history after 100 days in office.

According to a new CNN/ORC poll, Trump has the lowest approval rating of any newly-elected president at this stage.

44% of the pollsters say they approve of Trump’s handling of the presidency while 54% disapprove.

About 6 in 10 Americans disapprove of his decisions on health care and immigration.

He, however, has good numbers for his grip on foreign affairs and national security.

Another poll conducted by ABC News/Washington Post gave Trump a slightly lesser 42% approval rating, however, 96 per cent of his supporters say they will vote for him again.

34 per cent of the pollsters disagreed with his decision to give Ivanka Trump, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, senior roles in his administration.

Polling the performance of a US president after a significant number of days in office began during the administration of Dwight Eisenhower from January 1953 to January 1961.

Bill Clinton previously held the lowest approval rating title at this stage, but he now finds himself 11 points above Trump.
