United States President Donald Trump has criticised Israel and Iran for violating a ceasefire truce that barely lasted hours.

Trump had announced a ceasefire late Monday, affirmed by Israel and Iran.

The truce was said to take effect Tuesday but moments into the treaty, Israel accused Iran of violating the terms.

The Israeli prime minister’s office vowed to “respond forcefully” to any violations of the truce.

Iran denied the allegations, also promising to meet any further aggression from Israel with a “decisive, firm, and timely” response.

Trump expressed intense anger, using swear words when asked about the fractured agreement.

In a series of Truth Social posts, Trump insisted that the truce was in place, warning Israel not to attack Iran.

“All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly “Plane Wave” to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect! Thank you for your attention to this matter!” he posted.

Trump warned that bombing Iran would be a major violation of the agreement.

After the truce was broke, Israel struck a radar site north of Tehran.

However, a statement from the prime minister’s office said further strikes would be withheld after Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Trump.
