Two staff of Niger Biscuit Company Limited, makers of Oxford biscuits and other confectionery, sustained serious injuries when a gas explosion occurred at the company’s factory in the Apapa area of Lagos on Sunday.

According to ThISDAY, men of the state fire service and the Nigerian Ports Authority, rushed to the scene of the incident to contain the fire.

Efforts to reach Adebayo Kehinde, spokesman of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), did not yield any result, as his phone was out of reach.
