Two Jigawa pilgrims die in Saudi Arabia

The Jigawa state pilgrims welfare board has confirmed the death of two pilgrims from the state in Saudi Arabia during the 2016 Hajj.

Ibrahim Hashim, public relations officer of the board, confirmed this in an interview NAN on Tuesday in Dutse.

Hashim said the male and female pilgrims died after brief illness.

He said the male faithful hailed from Birniwa local government area, while the female was from Dutse local government area.

He said the deceased had since been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.

At least 2,369 pilgrims from the state performed the 2016 Hajj. (NAN)
