Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, has appointed Samuel Aruwan as the new administrator of the Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA).

Muhammad Lawal Shehu, chief press secretary to the governor, announced the appointment in a statement on Tuesday.

The Kaduna governor tasked Aruwan to deploy his skills and knowledge in management to take KCTA to a greater height.

Aruwan had served as commissioner for internal security and home affairs under Nasir el-Rufai, former governor of the state.

“The governor of Kaduna state, Senator Uba Sani has approved the appointment of Samuel Aruwan as the administrator, Kaduna Capital Territory Authority (KCTA),” the statement reads.

“Samuel Aruwan is the immediate past/pioneer commissioner, ministry of internal security and home affairs, Kaduna state. A graduate of Mass Communication, he had over a decade of experience in the media before joining the public service in 2015.

“He has extensive experience and knowledge of crisis management and governance, having played a critical role in the peace and security drives of the Kaduna state government and the campaign against terrorism and banditry in Northern Nigeria.

“While congratulating Aruwan on his appointment, the governor urged him to deploy his innovative and creative skills, as well as his deep knowledge of management and governance to take the Kaduna Capital Territory to higher heights. He wished the appointee God’s guidance in his new assignment.”

The Kaduna governor also appointed 14 special advisers.

The appointees include Daniel Maigari, special adviser on politics; Febian Okoye, adviser on research, documentation and strategies; Abdul Ishaq, adviser on stakeholders relations; Atiku Sankey, adviser on peace and conflict resolution; Ibrahim Muhammad, adviser on economic matters; Mustapha Musa, adviser on legal matters; Abdullahi Ahmed, adviser on project monitoring, implementation and result delivery.

Others are Mary Olarerin, adviser on programme monitoring and evaluation; Sagir Musa, adviser on human capital development; Muktar Ibrahim, adviser on chieftaincy matters; Sabiu Sani, adviser on investment and promotion; Bridget Sulaiman, adviser on social investment programme; Abdulkareem Mayere, adviser on energy, and Samaila Suleiman, adviser on infrastructure.
