Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna
Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna state, has urged newly appointed government officials to focus on serving the citizens.
Sani gave this directive during the swearing-in ceremony of several appointees, including Abubakar Sambo as commissioner of education, Gloria Ibrahim as commissioner of youth development, and Jummai Bako as head of service.
Other appointees sworn in include Ado Audu, counsellor on political matters; Ahmad Haruna as special adviser on economic matters, Abubakar Giwa, special adviser on political affairs, and Kabiru Jarimi Yakubu, special adviser local government affairs.
Sani challenged the appointees to contribute to the administration’s goal of leaving a lasting legacy.

The governor said their primary duty is to prioritise the interests of the people.
“You must think out of the box, while keeping the box in view,” he said as he encouraged innovative approaches to governance.
He told them to “roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running,” acknowledging their skills and competencies as vital to the state’s rebuilding and renewal efforts.

“It is by working as a team that we shall succeed. We must avoid working in silos. If we operate independently with limited communication or collaboration, success will be hindered,” Sani said.
On his administration’s achievements, Sani said significant transformations have been achieved in both rural and urban communities through extensive infrastructural development.
