Yusuf Mamman, a former ambassador to Spain and ex-chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), says Kaduna has been enjoying unprecedented peace and unity under Uba Sani.
In a statement on Monday, Mamman said the governor’s most significant achievement was not just in infrastructure or education, but in “healing the deep ethno-religious wounds” that once divided the state.
According to the veteran journalist and proprietor of JKD 360 Television and Multimedia Services, Kaduna now mirrors the harmony witnessed during the second republic under the “ideologically-driven” administration of late Balarabe Musa, former governor of the state.
“Governor Uba Sani inherited a fractured state — split along dangerous ethno-religious lines. Today, those divisions are fading. Kaduna is once again a united people,” he added.

He attributed the shift to the governor’s deliberate policy of inclusion and balanced development across the three senatorial districts.
Describing Sani as a “man of peace”, Mamman said his governance model should be studied and replicated in other multi-ethnic states.
He also commended the “administration’s achievements” in health, education, and infrastructure “without borrowing a single kobo”.

“Despite a heavy debt burden, the governor has upgraded primary health centres to Level 2 status, built 62 new schools, and commissioned 25 roads across the state,” he said.
“The policies and programmes rolled out have spurred economic growth, expanded access to education and healthcare, and improved the overall quality of life in Kaduna.”
Mamman urged residents to continue supporting the administration, adding that Sani has shown “efficiency, prudence, and a deep commitment to public good”.
Sani assumed office on May 29, 2023, succeeding Nasir el-Rufai.
