Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, on Saturday hosted some Islamic clerics who visited to felicitate with him at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Tukur Adam, the chief imam of Al-Manar mosque, commended Sani for his “people-centred policies”, which, he noted, have brought succour to the common man in the state.
Adam noted that the governor’s style of administration has restored peace and development in Kaduna, while praying that Allah will guide him on the right path.
Yahya Mujahid, chief imam of Maiduguri road mosque, noted that Kaduna residents now live without fear of arbitrary building demolitions or sudden dismissal from work.

“Property owners no longer fear demolition. Plot owners are now not afraid that their title documents will be revoked. Workers do not fear arbitrary sack,” Mujahid said.
Saleh Yakubu, chief imam of Costain Quarters, urged the governor to revive the activities of the Attaisir Development Foundation, which previously provided training for street urchins involved in crime.
Yakubu noted that bringing the foundation back to life would help curb the rising cases of phone snatching, burglary, and other petty crimes across the state.

Abubakar Sadiq, chief Imam of Nagwamatse road mosque, implored Sani to look into the complaints of some former civil servants who were retired by the past administration but are yet to receive their entitlements.
Sani thanked the clerics for the visit and promised to look into all their suggestions.
The governor also sought their prayers and support in his efforts to maintain the peace and bring development to all sections of Kaduna.
