Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna state, has redeploys two commissioners in a minor cabinet reshuffle.

A statement on Monday by Ibraheem Musa, the governor’s chief press secretary, said Sule Shuaibu, attorney-general and commissioner for justice, has been redeployed to the ministry of internal security and home sffairs.

Musa noted that James Kanyip, who previously held the security portfolio, will now serve as the new attorney-general and commissioner for justice.

According to him, the reshuffle is part of efforts to “re-energize the machinery of government for optimal service delivery”.

Musa quoted the governor as urging the officials to approach their new responsibilities “with fairness, total commitment and integrity”.

“The governor expects them to bring their extensive experiences and knowledge to bear on their new assignments. He wished them God’s guidance and protection,” the statement reads.

On July 29, the governor removed Muhammad Bello from his position as commissioner for information and appointed Ahmed Maiyaki as his replacement.
