Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna, says his administration has invested over N100 billion in the last six months to address the state’s water supply challenges.
Speaking on Tuesday during the inauguration of a rehabilitated road in Unguwan Sarki, Kaduna north LGA, the governor said the funds have been channelled towards replacing old and damaged infrastructure across all local government areas.
“We have already spent over N400 million to repair and replace destroyed water pipelines. By the end of this year, Kaduna will enjoy uninterrupted water supply,” he said.
The governor also inaugurated the newly constructed road that links Federal Government College, Malali, through FRCN quarters to Unguwan Dosa.

Ibrahim Isa, the Sarkin Unguwan Sarki, said the abandoned road left the community dusty and deserted, noting that most people avoided the ward completely.
He added that with the construction of the road which also leads to the Sultan of Sokoto’s Kaduna residence, economic vibrancy would return to the area.
Muhammad Gambo, chairman of Kaduna north LGA, commended the governor for his interventions and announced that the newly completed road had been named after him as a token of appreciation.

In a related development, Sani Aya, chairman of Igabi LGA, also praised the state government for executing infrastructural projects in his council, including the Rafin Guza–Malalin Gabas road and a new vocational and skills acquisition centre in Rigachikun.
Aya said the new road has significantly cut travel time to Kawo, noting that the vocational centre would serve residents of Kaduna and other Nigerians.
