Ude Chukwu
Ude Chukwu, a former deputy governor of Abia, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Chukwu’s intention to quit the PDP is outlined in a letter dated August 7, addressed to his ward chairman in Ndi Elu, Nkporo, Ohafia LGA of the state.
“I write to formally inform you of my resignation as a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), effective immediately,” the letter reads.
“You may wish to note that I am resigning due to personal reasons. While it was a difficult decision to make, it is the best course of action for me at this time.”

“I am most grateful for the opportunities the Party availed me to serve at various levels and appreciate the experience and knowledge gained during my membership of the Party.”
Chukwu was deputy governor from 2015 to 2023 under the administration of Okezie Ikpeazu.
Chukwu was said to have resigned from the PDP after meeting with Alex Otti, the governor of Abia, and endorsing his re-election bid.
