Umar Bago, governor of Niger state, has directed the immediate reopening of the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU), Lapai.
On June 25, Bago directed the immediate closure of the university due to security concerns.
The governor had said the decision was as a result of the security breaches within the campus community.
Before the closure, students of the university staged a protest over the killing of one of them during an armed robbery incident on the campus.
