Umar Radda appoints ex-Katsina deputy governor as SSG
Dikko Umar Radda, governor of Katsina, has appointed Abdullahi Faskari, former deputy governor, as secretary to the state government (SSG).
In a statement, Ibrahim Kaula, his chief press secretary, said Faskari would replace Ahmed Dangiwa, the deputy governor who has been nominated as a minister.
“The appointment is with immediate effect. Abdullahi is expected to bring on board his vast wealth of experience as a technocrat,” Kaula said.
“His contributions to the development and growth of the state, while serving as deputy to former governor Ibrahim Shema, remain unmatched.”
The new SSG served as commissioner of justice and attorney-general from 2003 to 2009, before moving to the education ministry to serve in same capacity.
He is currently the pro-chancellor and chairman, governing council of the Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina.
