Urban Alert, a non-governmental organisation, has unveiled Minetrix AI, an artificial intelligence web-based platform that provides data on Nigeria’s solid mineral sector.
The NGO said the platform was designed to enable citizens, journalists, researchers, policymakers, and investors to get verifiable insights.
According to the organisation, the platform searches only authoritative sources before providing an answer and records a timestamp to establish currency.

“Using artificial intelligence, we turn scattered laws, revenues, licensing, data, environmental reports, corporate and research publications into clear answers,” Urban Alert said.
Speaking at the launch, Anthony Adejuwon, founder and team lead of Urban Alert, says the Minetrix AI was designed to “democratize the mineral and mining sector”.
“Communities, regulators, media and investors need clear, cited answers they can stand behind in a hearing, a newsroom or an investment committee,” Adejuwon said.
