Cable Newspaper Journalism Foundation (CNJF), a partner of TheCable online newspaper, is a not-for-profit organisation using the vehicle of journalism to advance transparency and accountability in government. It seeks to build an active citizenry to promote democracy, good governance and development. Also known as the Cable Foundation, CNJF is a subscriber to “solutions journalism” – a school that believes in rigorous reporting of positive response to problems and challenges.

With support from the MacArthur Foundation, CNJF is currently implementing the Policy Radar Initiative (PRIN) designed to take an active part in the campaign for open government with the instruments of investigative reporting, data journalism, policy advocacy and mentoring of young journalists. PRIN seeks to track and trace the implementation of key public policies and programmes, particularly in the power and education sectors.

The Foundation is recruiting highly qualified candidates to join the PRIN project team.
