Victor Osimhen, Eagles striker, loses dad
Victor Osimhen, Super Eagles forward, has taken to social media to mourn the passing of Patrick Osimhen, his father.
The 21-year-old striker, who plays for Lille, a French Ligue 1 club, took to his Twitter page on Sunday to bid his late dad farewell.
“RIP Dad. No words to describe this feeling,” he wrote.

TheCable was reliably informed by Adedotun Coker, a member of the Lagos state football association, that Patrick passed away on Saturday night after a brief illness.
“Mr Patrick was sick for about two weeks and was on admission in the hospital until he died last night,” Coker told TheCable.
TheCable also spoke with Chinedu Ogbenna, Victor’s coach, who confirmed the demise of the Osimhen’s patriarch.
The late Patrick left behind seven children — Andrew, Samson, Gloria, Esther, Joy, Blessing and Victor.
