Algerians took to the streets on Wednesday to celebrate the resignation of President Abdelaziz Bouteflika who has spent two decades in power.
Bouteflika, 82, resigned after massive protests and the demand of the military that he should step down.
He suffered a stroke six years back and has barely been seen publicly yet he expressed his intention to seek a fifth term in office.
