Acting President Yemi Osinbajo went on a tour of the Egina Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) unit at the LADOL free zone in Lagos on Friday.
The $3.3 billion FPSO unit has a production capacity of 200,000 barrels of oil per day and will produce first oil before the end of 2018, Ahmadu-Kida Musa, deputy managing director, Total Exploration and Production Nigeria said during a presentation.
The tour featured the presence of dignitaries including Hadiza Bala Usman, managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), and Aisha Abubakar, minister of state for industry, trade and Investment.
Ladi Jadesimi, chairman of LADOL, Amy Jadesimi, managing director of LADOL and Bayo Ojulari, managing director of Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO), were also in attendance.
