VIDEO: Use of fireworks banned in Lagos, CP warns residents

Abiodun Alabi, the commissioner of police in Lagos, says the use of fireworks and firecrackers remains banned in the state during the yuletide.

The commissioner spoke in an interview with TheCable on Thursday.

“Let me use this opportunity to reiterate that the use of fireworks and firecrackers is completely banned during this period,” he said.

“We don’t want any miscreant or criminal to hide under the use of fireworks or crackers to perpetrate crime. I appreciate the good people of Lagos state and I wish them a hitch-free celebration”
