Gunmen have killed Fidelis Nnadi, a member of a vigilante group in Imo state.

Nnadi was killed on Tuesday morning along Okwelle-Umuezealaibe road, Abba in Nwangele LGA of the state.

The deceased was attacked while on his way back from the Okwelle area of the state where he had gone to purchase some items.

The gunmen were said to have kidnapped a mother and her child somewhere in the area and were passing through the community when they sighted Nnadi and shot him at close range.
