Vive Africa has officially opened nominations for the second edition of its Face of Education Africa initiative, described as the “Forbes 30 Under 30 list in education”.
The initiative aims to highlight individuals who are leading efforts to leverage education in its broadest sense to drive solutions, create opportunities, exchange ideas, and share knowledge across the continent.
In a statement on Tuesday, Vive said the public can submit nominations for inspiring individuals who have made a significant impact through education.
This, it said, can either be locally or internationally, from July 1 to July 15, 2025.

Isime Esene, lead consultant at Vive Africa and Co-Chair of the Face of Education Independent Selection Committee (ISC), emphasised the importance of the initiative.
“The Face of Education Africa initiative celebrates young changemakers who understand that education is not just a tool for personal advancement,” Esene stated.
“It is also a cornerstone for building the kind of future we all want, one defined by accelerated development and shared prosperity.

“By spotlighting their work, we are not just honouring excellence; we are reinforcing the idea that education remains our greatest lever for transformation across the continent.”
Vive said the final selection for the Face of Education shortlist will be made by members of the ISC based on criteria including social impact, potential, scale, influence, and vision.
The inaugural Face of Education Africa in 2023 recognised prominent figures such as Sim Shagaya, group CEO of uLesson and chancellor at Miva Open University (Nigeria); Teresa Mbagaya, principal at Imaginable Futures (Kenya); and Mike Skosana, co-founder and director of Crystal MG Trading and Projects (South Africa), alongside awardees from six other countries.
Face of Education Africa is an initiative by Vive Africa, a marketing communications agency, dedicated to underscoring education’s crucial role in accelerated development.
