Voting APC will connect Anambra to national political grid, Ukachukwu tells electorate

Nicholas Ukachukwu

Nicholas Ukachukwu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Anambra governorship election, says voting his party into power will connect the state to the “national political grid”.

Ukachukwu spoke at a rally in Nnewi, while presenting Azuka Okwuosa, APC’s candidate for the August 16 Anambra south senatorial by-election.

The poll is being held to fill the seat made vacant by the passing of Ifeanyi Ubah, former senator representing Anambra south.

Ukachukwu urged voters in Aguata, Ekwusigo, Ihiala, Nnewi north, Nnewi south, Orumba north, and Orumba south LGAs to turn out in large numbers for Okwuosa.

He also appealed to the electorate to back him as APC’s flagbearer in the governorship election.

“Voting for APC senator and governor will instantly connect the state to the national political grid for massive developmental benefits,” he said.

The governorship candidate highlighted the importance of political education and charged residents to work for the party’s victory in honour of the departed senator.

Speaking earlier, Okwuosa promised effective representation that would uplift the living standards of the people.

He said his priorities would include empowerment programmes, job creation for youths, and attracting more federal projects to the district.
