Water Corridor International (WCI), a non-profit organization, has raised awareness for quality water during the 3rd edition of the Ondo Auto Rally.

The rally, which ended in Akure on Sunday, offered the NGO the platform to campaign for quality water among spectators and people of Ilara Mokin community, where the annual event took place.

Olumide Omolade, director of WCI, led the team of skaters and car racers, who visited areas in the rural community to educate them on the need to protect the water, which he described as precious.

“We believe that if the people are well informed, the quality of water available would be better and there would be a resolve to guard against pollution which would in turn reduce the accompanying diseases,” Omolade said.
