Waterlight Save Initiative appoints Angelyne Butler as director of government affairs

Waterlight Save Initiative, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has appointed Angelyne Butler, mayor of Forest Park, Atlanta, as its new director of government affairs.

A statement by the NGO said Butler has a proven track record of leadership driven by compassion and results as she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Waterlight Save Initiative.

Her appointment is a strategic move to strengthen the organisation’s advocacy efforts and push policy forward to prioritise the interests of African communities.

Speaking on her appointment, Ero Ibhafidon, president and founder of Waterlight Save Initiative, said the NGO is honoured to welcome Mayor Angelyne Butler to the team.

“At Waterlight Save Initiative, her leadership and connections at the local, state, and federal levels will be instrumental in expanding our reach and forging partnerships that transcend borders,” Ibhafidon said.

“As director of government affairs, Butler will leverage her platform to build bridges between policymakers and grassroots leaders, advocate for sustainable solutions, and promote equity, opportunity, and justice.”

“I’m thrilled to join the Waterlight Save Initiative team and contribute to the organisation’s mission to empower communities and promote transformative change,” Butler said of her appointment.
