Howlers from Loris Karius and Darren Randolph saw Liverpool and West Ham United share the points at the Anfield on Sunday night.

West Ham United went from a goal down and capitalised on two mistakes at the back by Liverpool to lead by half time.

The second half saw the Reds got back into the game through a mistake by the Hammers goalkeeper, which allowed Divock Origi to latch home and draw level for the home side.

Liverpool had taken the lead as early at the third minute when Sadio Mane went on a winding run from right to left, and then clipped a low cross to Adam Lallana, who controlled the ball 10 yards from goal away from Aaron Cresswell and Reid to ping an excellent left-footed shot into the far corner.

Dimitri Payet equalised for the Hammers through a free kick in the 28th minute, curling the ball over the wall and into the bottom corner through the hands of Loris Karius into the net.

In the 39th minute, Matip failed to clear the ball out of danger from a deflected Nortdveit cross, which Michail Antonio pounced on; and with Karius undecided whether to rush out or stay behind, Antonio lifted the ball over the goalkeeper and into the net.

The Reds suffered just their second defeat of the season, after they were stunned by Bournemouth last week.
