Nyesom Wike, governor of Rivers state, has relived Ngozi Abu of his position as the state accountant-general.

Simeon Nwakaudu, special assistant to the governor on media, confirmed the development, saying Dagogo Abere, the director of treasury, has been appointed to replace Abu in acting capacity.

“The Rivers state accountant-general, Ngozi Y. Abu has been removed from office,” Nwakaudu said in a statement.

“The director treasury, Sir Dagogo R. Abere has been appointed as acting accountant-general of the state.  This appointment takes immediate effect.”
