Danlami Hayyo
Nyesom Wike, minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has reinstated Danlami Hayyo, the suspended mandate secretary of the education secretariat.
The minister also reinstated Michael Ango, acting executive chairman of the FCT internal revenue service (FCT-IRS), who was removed earlier this month.
Lere Olayinka, senior special assistant to the minister of public communication and social media, announced the development in a statement on Wednesday.
He said Hayyo and Ango are to resume duty with immediate effect, adding that the minister warned against any act of indiscipline among FCT officials.

In November, Wike suspended Hayyo following reports that government schools in the FCT had been directed to shut down.
A memo issued by the education secretariat directed all public senior secondary schools in Abuja to shut down on or before Friday, November 28, citing urgent security concerns.
In the memo, principals and heads of schools were instructed to end all academic activities immediately and ensure students were dismissed “in an orderly and safe manner.”

The FCT administration debunked the report, insisting that “no such decision was taken at any level of the administration.”
Nancy Sabanti Nathan, the acting head of service, was also directed to take disciplinary action against Aishatu Sani Alhassan, the director of school services, who signed the memo.
