‘Will there be space to hang a small generator?’ — Nigerians react to 2018 introduction of electric cars

On Thursday, Nigus Enfinity, an indigenous firm, announced that it will introduce electric vehicles into the Nigerian automobile market in 2018.
Malik Ado-Ibrahim, chairman of the company, made this known to journalists in an interactive session which held in Abuja.
Nigerians on social media had a lot to say about the proposed plan, especially as the country continues to grapple with stable power supply.

Obviously Nigerian market will not be too good for electric cars, it still struggles to get 3000MW of power supply. https://t.co/4FlIcAfgrB

Importation continues. May be I'm wrong, but shouldn't we perfect manufacturing cars that use fuel since we have oil🤔 https://t.co/d60WZfFUNo

Lord, now no more power for Nigerians 😣. We should just remain a fuel dependent nation and enjoy the excess from other serious countries. 😂😂
