Victor Osimhen is set to miss the Super Eagles of Nigeria’s crunch World Cup qualifier against South Africa due to injury.
According to updates shared from the team camp on Sunday, the Super Eagles talisman will not travel with the team to Bloemfontein.
Osimhen was injured in Nigeria’s hard-fought 1-0 win over Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday.
He was substituted in the first half after team doctors attended to the Galatasaray striker, who held his leg following the tackle.

Team doctors have further confirmed that Osimhen suffered a shin injury.
Promise Efoghe, the team’s media officer, said the 26-year-old is still in discomfort and would not travel with the team for the all-important encounter.
