The National Orientation Agency announced this in a statement on Thursday.
The award recognises Ahmed’s academic achievements, leadership qualities, and commitment to community service.

Ahmed’s global focus, NOA said, will now shift to critical areas such as global health, One Health, and combating antimicrobial resistance.
The “World’s Best Veterinary Student” title is part of the WVA Global Veterinary Awards organised by the WVA in collaboration with partners like Ceva Santé Animale and the International Veterinary Students’ Association (IVSA).
This award is periodic, typically presented annually.
The WVA Global Veterinary Awards aim to recognise outstanding contributions across various categories, including One Health, medicines stewardship, animal welfare, and veterinary education.
