Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi, on Monday, hosted Halima Musa, the first female officer to attain the rank of air commodore in the air force from the state.

Musa is the second female officer to attain that rank in the country. Habibah Ruth Garba is Nigeria’s first female air commodore.

While receiving her at the government house in Kogi, Bello said the top ranking officer has made the state and the country proud.

The governor said women have contributed meaningfully to the development of the country and should be given room to do more.
