An organisation known as the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) is set to honour high achievers and remarkable Nigerians in public and private sectors.
Yemi Kale, Folarin ‘Falz’ Falana, Yami Adamolekan, Yemi Alade, Hadiza Bala Usman, Tolu Ogunlesi, Chude Jideonwo, Davido, D’banj, and Michael Ugwu, are among the Nigerians who will be honoured on August 31.
The honourees will be hosted to a reception at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), after which they will participate in the closing gong ceremony.
The MIPAD global finalists will also be celebrated during an African recognition in New York, US.
“Over the years the contributions and impact of young and highly influential Africans have been neglected leaving a huge gap in the quest to inspire the next generation towards greater exploits,” said Kamil Olufowobi, chief executive officer, MIPAD.
“We are all about paving the way for Africans to embrace creativity and sustainable success within our peoples.”
The recognition ceremony will showcase contributions and impact across five key sectors; politics and governance; business and entrepreneurship; media and culture; religious and humanitarian and global announcement.
