Yinka Ayefele, popular gospel singer, is currently mourning the loss of his father, Joshua Taiwo Ayefele, who died on October 12, 2014, aged 76.

The deceased (pictured, right, with his son) passed away during the celebration of his birthday with his children, right after a thanksgiving service was held in his honour at an Anglican Church at Ipoti Ekiti.

‘Baba Teacher’, as he was fondly called being an educationist and community leader, informed his children of his desire to celebrate his birthday,  which they considered unusual but fulfilled his request.

Yinka, the tungba maestro, is the first child of his parents.

A date for the burial is yet to be announced.
