Yobe PDP crisis worsens as court halts congress
The crisis rocking the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state has taken a worse turn as a high court in Damaturu, the state capital, has restrained the party from conducting any congress.
The national reconciliation committee under the leadership of ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki had tried to resolve the crisis in Yobe PDP without any success.
Some aggrieved chieftains of the PDP in the state had filed a suit against the congress that the party is planning ahead of the 2023 elections.
In a judgement delivered by GK Kaigama, the chief judge, the party officials were ordered to suspend action on the congress pending when a suit filed against the exercise will be heard.
Below is the court judgment.
