Former captain of Super Eagles of Nigeria, Joseph Yobo, is backing the re-election bid of Goodluck Jonathan, saying the president has done enough to justify another term in office.

Yobo’s football career has been in limbo after he was released by Fenerbache of Turkey and in his semi-retirement from the sports that saw him earn 100 caps for Nigeria, the former Everton defender has thrown his weight behind President Jonathan in February 14 presidential poll.

“Our president has done well and we the youths must support him to continue in office,” the 34-year-old Yobo said at the People’s Democratic Party’s flag-off of the presidential campaign in Lagos.

“This is our time!”

According to reports, the posters of Yobo posing with President Jonathan have flooded the streets of major cities in the country.
