The 2019 elections are drawing very near. Everyone is rushing to sort out their PVC because apparently that is the magic pill that will fix all our problems as a nation.

Plus, the deadline is almost here. We might be getting new leaders or we might be stuck with old wine in new wine skin. It all depends on nothing.

No matter how solid the arguments in favor of a plan for the future in adopting new techniques or processes for developing a ‘New Nation’ unless there’s astrong but not forced support from the leaders, the plan is likely to fail.

Contrary to what that may mean on paper, leadership sits with all of us.

Since we live in a world in which information is the single greatest natural resource and competition is global, leadership is accessible to you and I, wherever we may be.

Today’s media has created a historical shift from the historically powerful to the historically powerless.

Now, everyone has a voice!

All we really need is new ideas. New leaders with new ways of leading, new ways of doing politics and leadership and even new politicking and export to do to deal with the speed and complexity of our current world.

A shift from diversity (which in my opinion has promoted marginalization, victimization and discrimination) to inclusion.

Inclusion here is about diversity of thought. Regardless of tribe, religion or sex, its about finding like mindedness in our differences. About embracing those differences and further exploring them to support the values that unite and serve as our competitive advantage to stimulate new growth and generate new opportunities.

After all is said and done, Financial services, Telecoms and even Entertainment have driven growth more than the highly revered ‘ Oil’ .

We really should begin to get involvedin any way we can and not just expect that is for someone else to do.

One person is enough to cause a ripple effect of positivity.
