Jennifer Larcombe had a great life: a fine country home, a loving husband and wonderful children. Then, one Sunday afternoon, just as she got ready to serve her family lunch, a friend called her and said, “I’m not sure I ought to say this, but I saw you dying in a dream I had last night.”
Jenny said that she probably would have laughed if off if she had not dreamt the same thing the night before.
Few weeks later, she became seriously ill with encephalitis, a brain virus, that left her a near vegetable.
She and her family went through a harrowing experience for the next 8 years, until the day GOD whispered to her, “I want to heal you!”
Exactly 3 months afterwards, she was at a meeting where she’d been scheduled to speak on “Why Does God Allow Suffering?” when a young lady, who had only just become a Christian said to her, “I feel GOD is telling me to tell you HE wants to HEAL you.”
Jennifer had come to the meeting in a wheelchair – the speaker – yet, GOD raised a young convert in the audience to speak to, and later pray a simple prayer for her, that brought HEALING and total RESTORATION to her.
Her healing stunned everyone that knew her. She had been driven to the meeting by a dear friend, and her husband and children were waiting to receive her in front of their home later that evening. When she stepped out of the car unaided, pulled her wheelchair from the trunk and carried it up the steps to the house, her husband was so stupified that he walked away and didn’t return until dark! One of the daughters went up to her room and locked the door. It was like a dream to the entire household.
In her own words, “It took 10 days before they all recovered from the shock! Soon the media were at the door…… I was bothered by all the publicity until I realized that it was a WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY to tell the world that GOD still heals today.”
I don’t know what you are grappling with right now, but you can trust GOD to see you safely through it; HE’ll heal, deliver, empower and lift you up, in JESUS NAME.
