Former President Muhammadu Buhari, and Yemi Osinbajo, the former vice-president, have celebrated President Bola Tinubu on his 72nd birthday.
In a post on his official X page (formerly Twitter), Buhari commended Tinubu for his “excellent leadership”. He also prayed for good health for the president.
“Happy 72nd Birthday to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT,” Buhari wrote.
“I commend you for your excellent leadership, and the sustained efforts to overcome the many problems of the country.
“My family and I pray to God that you remain healthy and happy and continue to work for the betterment of the country. Happy birthday to you, and many happy returns of the day!”
Also in a post on his X page, Osinbajo congratulated Tinubu and prayed God to grant him unyielding strength.
“Happy 72nd Birthday President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. May the Lord God Almighty grant you robust health, unyielding strength in this year and the many years to come, and divine help and wisdom always,” Osinbajo wrote.
Last Sunday, the presidency announced that Tinubu will not celebrate his 72nd birthday “in deference to the challenging times” in the country.
