Guardiola, Zidane, Ranieri shortlisted for FIFA best coach award

Ten male coaches were on Wednesday shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2016 award.

The coaches include Zinedine Zidane whose Real Madrid team won the UEFA Champions League, Claudio Ranieri who helped Leicester City win a first ever Premier League title in the 2015/16 season and Pep Guardiola, who won German Bundesliga with Bayern Munich.

Jurgen Klopp who led Liverpool to the 2015/16 Europa and league cup finals and Fernando Santos who coached Portugal to win their first ever Euro 2016 trophy, were also included.

Others are France’s Didier Deschamp, Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone and Luis Enrique of Barcelona.

The coaches were shortlisted by experts from the FIFA Football Committee.
