Zik’s first son, Chukwuma, dies at 75

Chukwuma Azikiwe, the first son of Nnamdi Azikiwe, one of Nigeria’s heroes, has died.
Aged 75, Chukwuma passed on at the Borommeo Hospital in Onitsha, Anambra state on Sunday.
Until his death, he was the Owelle of Onitsha, a traditional position he inherited from his late father in 1996.
As Owelle, Chukwuma was sixth in the title ranking in Onitsha.

In 1991, the deceased aspired to govern the old Anambra state but lost and decided not to seek any elective office again.
