The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it will not accept the outcome of the ongoing gubernatorial election in Osun if the final results announced are not the same as those from polling units.

Results from 24 out of 30 local government areas (LGAs) have been announced, with the opposition party leading with a margin of over 12,000 votes.

Some supporters of the party had earlier stormed the head office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over an alleged plan to rig the election.

The social media is also replete with pictures of results from all the local government areas despite the fact that INEC is yet to announce everything.

There are allegations that 1,000 votes were deducted from the result of the PDP in Ayedaade LGA.

While 10,836 was said to have been counted at the polling unit, 9,836 was announced at the collation centre.

When confronted with the allegation, the returning officer said the announced result is correct.

In the wake to the allegations, the PDP, via its Twitter handle, asked its supporters to remain at the collation centre and prevent any attempt to alter results gathered from the polling units.

“We call on all our members and supporters in Osun State and environs to maintain their presence at the @inecnigeria collation center,” PDP tweeted.

“We reject in totally the reduction of @OfficialPDPNig votes by 1,000 in Aiyeaadade LGA.We believe @inecnigeria is under tremendous pressure by the defeated @OfficialAPCNg to further jeopardize our electoral process. We will not accept any results except those from polling units.

“Our agents must be armed with all collared original results from the polling units. We are winning! Victory is assured!”
