Real Madrid defeated Malaga 2-0 to emerge champions of the Spanish La Liga.

Zinedine Zidane, a Galactico in charge of the Galacticos, took the title back to the Spanish capital after five years.

Although Barcelona defeated Eibar 4-2 at Nou Camp, Real held their composure to register one last win for a hard-fought title.

As early as the second minute, Cristiano Ronaldo made a clear statement of intent by grabbing the first goal for Madrid.

The Champions League finalists wrapped up the game in the 55th minute. Luka Modric’s corner found Sergio Ramos whose shot was saved by Carlos Kameni but the rebound fell to Karim Benzema who tapped in for Real’s second of the night.

Real Madrid scored 58 goals away from home in the 2016/17 La Liga season, their best record in history.
